Historic sale of seeding equipment to Venezuela |
The bilateral agreement signed by Argentina and Venezuela generated business for the agricultural machinery sector once more. The alliance, which consists of Apache Agricultural Machinery (Las Parejas), Crucianelli (Armstrong) and VHB (Oncativo) enabled the sale of 100 seeding equipment to the Mercosur partner country, which will be sent during 2012.
The equipment concerned is the Apache 315 planter, which has been specially adapted for Venezuelan soil. This machine will be used for the seeding of soybean, corn and beans.

The transaction rises to 3.5 million dollars and involves the sale of 15 planters which was carried out by the end of 2010. The first equipments will be shipped by the beginning of February. The project is called 315 and aims at the development of a planter with a working width at 3.15 meters and fewer numbers of rows, which is adapted to uneven ground, such as Venezuela´s. This model of planter has already been exported to the Mexican market where the farming system is conventional.Strategic alliance. The alliance between the companies from Santa Fe is strategic. Apache Agricultural Machinery manufactures the mainframe, Crucianelli is in charge of the row units and VHB produces the coulter blades and fertilization parts. The responsible for International Commerce at Apache, Fernando Porcel, explained they are seven row machines at 45 centimeters, mechanical type, with side fertilization, and added that they can be used both for conventional and no-till seeding.
